Trader Joe's Organic Chicken Nuggets: 3 Healthy & Tasty Recipes
Trader Joe's Organic Chicken Nuggets are lightly breaded and made from organic chicken breast and rib meat. They’re fully cooked and you’ll find them in the refrigerated section.
A fun & delicious source of protein, you can add them to a variety of dishes. We’ve included three easy-to-make finger-lickin’-good recipes below for you to try.
- Note: The package instructions give you three different ways to heat them up: microwave, oven & air-fryer. While microwaving is convenient if you have only a minute to spare, we found that they’re tastier & crispier when made in the oven or air fryer. (And if you like them extra crispy, like we do, you may want to leave them in a few minutes longer than indicated on the package.)

RECIPE #1 –
Mushroom Fettuccine with Chicken Nuggets
Makes two servings.
All ingredients purchased @ Trader Joe's
Ingredients:

½ pack (6 oz.) Organic Chicken Nuggets

oil spray
-
1 bag sliced mushrooms
-
½ bag baby spinach
-
1 pack Mushroom Fettuccine
Directions:
-
Heat chicken nuggets according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, spray a pan with oil and sauté the mushrooms & spinach for three minutes.

Add the Mushroom Fettuccine. Cook, covered, until all ingredients are warm (~ 4-5 minutes).

When ready, place half the pasta & half the chicken nuggets on each plate. Enjoy!
RECIPE #2 –
BBQ Toscano Chicken Salad
Makes two servings.
All ingredients purchased @ Trader Joe's
Ingredients:

½ pack (6 oz.) Organic Chicken Nuggets
-
1 pack BBQ & Black Pepper Toscano Chopped Salad Kit
-
½ jar fire roasted red peppers, diced
-
½ avocado, diced
Directions:

Heat chicken nuggets according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, open the salad kit and place the toppings aside. Pour the salad into a bowl, add the peppers, and then toss with the dressing.

Place half the salad on each plate. Top each salad with ¼ pack chicken nuggets, ¼ avocado, and ½ the toppings. Enjoy!
RECIPE #3 –
Chicken Nuggets with Roasted Veggies
Makes one serving.

Ingredients:

¼ pack (3 oz.) Organic Chicken Nuggets
-
oil spray
-
½ pack butternut squash zig-zags
-
2 medium zucchinis
-
2 tablespoons ketchup
Directions:

Preheat oven or toaster oven to 400°.

Arrange the chicken nuggets and veggies in a single layer on a baking sheet. Spray oil on the veggies & place baking sheet in oven. Roast about 20 minutes, or until chicken & veggies reach your desired crispiness.

Place the veggies, chicken nuggets, and sauce on a plate. Enjoy!
