Trader Joe’s Canned Organic Pumpkin

 

Fall is known as “Pumpkinpalooza” at Trader Joe’s because of all their fun & delicious pumpkin products.

And we’re all for it! Pumpkin is packed with vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, iron & fiber. BUT, many of the pumpkin-flavored products are also packed with sugar, sodium, or saturated fat.

That’s why our very favorite fall product is their canned Organic Pumpkin. It’s 100% pumpkin purée, with no added sugar or additives.

It has a rich, velvety texture & is very versatile. We love it in oatmeal, shakes, soups, dips, muffins, and even pancakes!

For a comforting & flavorful morning snack:

Pumpkin Nut Apple

 

Makes 1 serving
All ingredients purchased @ Trader Joe's

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon your choice of nut butter
  • 2 tablespoons Organic Pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • ⅛ teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 apple, sliced

 

Directions:

  1. Combine the nut butter, Organic Pumpkin, maple syrup, and Pumpkin Pie Spice in a small bowl. Stir well.

  2. Dip the apple slices in the Pumpkin Nut Butter. Enjoy!

 

 


 

 

For a satisfying afternoon snack: 

Pumpkin Hummus with Veggies & Crisps

 

Makes 1 serving
All ingredients purchased @ Trader Joe's

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon Organic Pumpkin
  • 1 tablespoon hummus
  • 10 baby carrots
  • 10 Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps

 

Directions:

  1. Combine the Organic Pumpkin & hummus in a small bowl and stir well.

  2. Dip the carrots and crisps into the Pumpkin Hummus. Enjoy!
