Tikka Veggies with Green Beans & Mushrooms

Trader Joe’s Tikka Vegetables is a flavorful mix of carrots, potatoes, onions, and green peas in a moderately spicy tomato & cream sauce.
We’ve added extra veggies, brown rice & slivered almonds for a deliciously satisfying meal. In fact, it’s so tasty you’ll want to serve it to guests!
And because the Tikka Vegetables are shelf-stable, you can keep a few pouches in your pantry. Reach for them on those busy nights when you need to get a meal on the table in less than 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

1 cup (½ pouch) TJ’s frozen brown rice

oil spray
-
½ bag Trimmed & Cleaned Green Beans, chopped

1 bag Sliced Crimini Mushrooms
-
1 pouch Trader Joe’s Indian Fare Tikka Vegetables

½ cup slivered almonds
Directions:

Heat the brown rice as instructed on the package.

Meanwhile, spray a pan with oil. Add the green beans & mushrooms. Sauté 8-10 minutes over medium-high heat.

Pour the Tikka Vegetables into the pan. Fill the empty pouch with ¼ cup water, swirl it around and then pour it into the pan.

Continue to cook over medium heat about five minutes.

When ready, place half the brown rice onto each plate. Pour the Tikka Vegetables onto each serving of rice and then top with ¼ cup slivered almonds.
